Everything you need to prepare for an intimate House Show performance.
Getting Started
Start with a clear profile, your genres, and high-quality track samples. Artists complete an identity-verification process through Veriff before the relevant profile can be listed for host booking, including a one-time $5 fee that is non-refundable. Veriff handles identity documents, while House Show receives the verification result or status and limited session information. Verification describes completion of a defined process, not an endorsement or guarantee of safety, quality, or performance.
Once your profile is active, browse host venues and apply to dates that fit your schedule. Read the listing carefully, ask questions early, and agree on the practical details with the host before confirming a show.
Your agreement is with the host
Performance terms, venue access, lodging, arrival plans, equipment, hospitality, and other physical arrangements are agreed directly between you and the Host. HouseShow provides listing and marketplace tools, but it is not a party to those arrangements and does not manage the venue, performance, lodging, or guest conduct.
Determine which business, tax, licensing, equipment, insurance, and other compliance obligations apply to your work and location. HouseShow does not provide legal or tax advice or confirm that an artist’s arrangements meet local requirements.
The Performance
House Show audiences come to listen closely. Shows have a minimum audience of 20 people and can accommodate up to approximately 75 depending on the unique space. Performances often last 75 to 90 minutes, sometimes split into two sets with a short intermission for conversation.
House Show events do not permit alcohol. Hosts may offer non-alcoholic beverages only. Discuss arrival, sound, guest access, house rules, and any accommodation directly with the host before show day.
House Show does not provide insurance. Carry your own liability coverage and ask your provider about coverage for private or paid events.
Sound Setup Tips

- •Small portable PAs are usually enough if needed.
- •Arrive 45 minutes early to soundcheck in the space.
Getting Paid
The current default revenue shares give artists a clear starting point for planning. Your actual amount and payout availability depend on sales, refunds, reserves, current rules, and your Stripe Connect account status.
Stripe Connect processes eligible payouts. Reserves may delay availability, and House Show does not promise a fixed release date. Check the current rules and your dashboard for the status that applies to a show.
