    Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026. By using HouseShow, you agree to these terms.

Please read these terms carefully. They explain HouseShow's role and the responsibilities of hosts, artists, attendees, and account holders.

    1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the HouseShow platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, do not use the platform. These terms describe the general rules for hosts, artists, guests, and other people who use HouseShow.

    2. HouseShow's Role and Marketplace Boundaries

HouseShow provides software, marketplace, and listing infrastructure. It may provide tools for discovering shows, coordinating participation, displaying listings, selling tickets, processing payments, managing check-in, and supporting related platform functions. HouseShow does not own, lease, operate, manage, supervise, or control any physical venue, performance, entertainment service, food or beverage hospitality, staffing, security, production, or guest conduct. HouseShow is not a venue owner, event operator, hospitality provider, insurer, employer, or performer. Physical event, performance, lodging, hospitality, and venue arrangements are made directly between the Host, Artist, and other participants as applicable. HouseShow is not a party to those physical arrangements and does not act as their event operator or venue manager.

    3. Your Account

Provide accurate, current information when creating an account or profile, and update it when important details change. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Do not share your account, impersonate another person, or use HouseShow to create misleading listings or transactions.

    4. Hosting, Performing, and Direct Arrangements

Hosts are responsible for accurate venue listings, capacity decisions, house rules, lawful use of their space, guest communications, and the experience they offer. Artists are responsible for their performance, equipment, agreements with Hosts, and communications. Hosts and Artists must address their own direct arrangements, including performance terms, venue access, lodging, hospitality, equipment, and guest expectations. HouseShow events do not permit alcohol. Hosts and Artists must carry their own appropriate insurance because HouseShow does not provide coverage. HouseShow's verification process describes a defined status and does not endorse a person, venue, performance, or outcome.

    5. Local Compliance, Permits, Taxes, and Insurance

You are responsible, as applicable to your role, location, property, and activity, for determining, obtaining, maintaining, and following all required business licenses, permits, zoning or land-use approvals, HOA or lease permissions, health or food authorizations, tax registrations, insurance, and other permissions, notices, and legal requirements. Requirements vary by location and can change. HouseShow does not provide legal or tax advice, verify permits, confirm compliance, or guarantee that a listing or event is lawful, safe, or approved. HouseShow provides no insurance coverage. Hosts and Artists must arrange and maintain coverage appropriate for their own activities and confirm the terms directly with their insurance provider.

    6. Identity Verification

Where required, an Artist completes identity verification through Veriff before the relevant profile can be listed for booking. The one-time identity-verification fee is $5 and is non-refundable. Veriff handles identity documents, while HouseShow receives the verification result or status and limited session information needed for the process. Verification does not guarantee safety, quality, legal compliance, or performance and is not a substitute for your own judgment.

    7. Tickets, Payments, and Refunds

Ticket prices, any applicable service fee, and the terms for a particular show or order are shown before checkout. Stripe processes payments for HouseShow. A ticket may be non-refundable except where the current show or platform policy provides an option, but ticket outcomes are not identical in every situation. If a show is changed or canceled, HouseShow may facilitate rescheduling or a refund process under the policy that applies to that show. Refund eligibility, amount, and timing can depend on the reason, timing, payment status, and current rules. No specific refund outcome is promised unless it is stated for the applicable transaction.

    8. Transaction Amounts and Tax Responsibility

HouseShow may display or process transaction amounts entered through its tools, including amounts a user designates for a tax or similar charge. HouseShow does not determine a user's tax obligations, guarantee a tax rate, exemption, or treatment, or provide tax advice. Hosts remain responsible for accurate tax settings and, where required, collection, filings, and remittance related to their food and non-alcoholic beverage activity. Users should obtain advice from a qualified tax professional about their own transactions and location.

    9. Payouts and Reserves

Stripe Connect handles eligible payouts to Hosts and Artists. Payout availability depends on the current revenue rules, show status, refund windows, any reserve, and the connected Stripe account's required status. Funds may remain unavailable while a reserve or review applies, and timing can change. A listed show or completed ticket sale does not by itself guarantee that funds are immediately available for payout.

    10. Address Privacy and Prohibited Conduct

Exact venue addresses are restricted to appropriate ticket-holder or authorized flows. Do not publish, copy, or share an address outside the permitted experience. You may not use HouseShow for illegal activity, harassment, discrimination, threats, fraud, alcohol sales or use at a show, unauthorized access, or interference with the platform. We may limit, suspend, or close accounts when needed to protect people, listings, payments, or the service.

    11. Enforcement and Account Actions

If HouseShow receives a credible report of a potential legal or safety violation, a neighbor complaint, missing or disputed documentation, or a request from an authority, HouseShow may review the relevant listing or account and may hide or remove a listing or restrict, suspend, or deactivate an account while concerns are reviewed or when action is otherwise appropriate. HouseShow may request information or clarification and may consider the available context. A report alone does not establish a violation or guarantee permanent action from an unverified allegation. Where appropriate and permitted by law, HouseShow may provide a review path or restore access if concerns are resolved.

    12. Content and Intellectual Property

HouseShow owns its brand, software, and platform materials. You retain ownership of music, photos, writing, and other content you upload. You give HouseShow permission to host, display, reproduce, and adapt that content as reasonably needed to operate, promote, and improve the services. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload and share your content.

    13. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HouseShow, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against claims, demands, proceedings, fines, penalties, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or related to your listing or use of the platform, your event, food or beverage activity, performance, or conduct, your breach of these Terms, or your failure to comply with applicable law or obtain required permissions. HouseShow may participate in or assume control of the defense of a covered matter, and you may not settle a matter in a way that admits fault by or imposes obligations on HouseShow without HouseShow's written consent. This section applies only to the maximum extent allowed by applicable law.

    14. Liability Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HouseShow is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of the platform. This does not change rights or responsibilities that cannot be limited under applicable law. HouseShow does not provide insurance coverage for a show, venue, performance, trip, ticket, food or beverage activity, or person.

    15. Changes and Contact

We may update these terms as the platform and its policies change. We will post the updated version and change the last-updated date. For questions about these terms, use the contact page. It also links to our Privacy Policy and available support options.
